Commerce City is a city in Adams County, Colorado and is a suburb of the city of Denver. As of 2005, the city is estimated to have a total population of 34,189.
Commerce City is best known for greyhound racing at the Wembley Park dog track [1] and for two oil refineries operated by Suncor, one of which was acquired from Valero in 2005.
The Rapids Soccer Stadium is being built in Commerce City and the Colorado Rapids plan to move there in 2007.
